Boyeco

Boyeco is a location near Temuco, the capital of the Araucanía Region, Chile. This place has belonged to the Mapuche community (indigenous inhabitants of Central and Southern Chile) for centuries. Now holds a waste dump and, among others, a public mapuche primary school just 120 mts. away from the waste dump. This issue has been focus of political discussion, racial discrimination and pollution problems.
