Built in record time, the Farfana wastewater facility was supposed to be a high-end technology plant in wastewater depollution (involving the Mapocho river, which crosses Santiago), managed in part by a Spanish concessionary. Nevertheless, it is frequent that sickening smells concern the zone in which the plant is located, without up to the date the Spanish company have evaluated and taken some effective study of environmental impact for the residential adjacent sectors.
