3. QUEBRADA MELENDEZ
A ravine located in the north of Chile, close to Copiapó. It holds mainly private solid waste in an area of around 10 Km. No treatments are applied, nor complies with any regulation. Its environmental and sanitary effects have repercussions on the population through different factors, such as, bad smells, areas of fires and sanitary vectors.
